I thought that because Apricot's turning one this month that it would be fun to put some growing-up pictures of her throughout the month.
Apricot loves eating icecream with her sisters or anybody that is! It's a preferred taste thanks to her aunt Pheobe.
Garlic learned about houses last week. fun, fun, fun...
As you can see, for snack we enjoyed a pretzel house with a cheese roof, ritz windows, and of course a chocolate door...yummm.
We went to the homecoming game this friday. Apple fell and hurt her knee. And we didn't actually pay to get into the game. But there were plenty of areas to watch the game from outside. Next time we will try to get inside and I'll take some pictures of the game so Huckleberry and I can prove to the kids that we actually took them to do things.
Apricot sure enjoyed being outside way past her bedtime.
There were fireworks during half-time. The kids loved that. The girls enjoyed watching the drill team too. I don't know if it's because I'm older and I've seen better now, but the drill team didn't impress me that much.
The girls had me crimp their hair for school today. It's fun having "life-sized barbie dolls" to play with. Phoebe can probably remember when she was one of mine...what am I saying "was", she still is!! Love you Phoebe.
I was feeling kind of bad that Apricot had never experienced the bumbo because they seem to be what's in for kids now days. Gertrude was borrowing one from a friend, so I put Apricot in it. If you can't tell by her face, she really enjoyed it.
Garlic went to school last week and learned about families. We are having a lot of fun! Peach is dealing with a mean little girl at school. (I've seen her and she really is a lot smaller than Peach.) I guess the girl kicks her and licks her folder...Ooh! Peach is going to give her a Hello Kitty sticker to put on her folder. If it doesn't change things and she's still mean we'll have her moved to another seat. Her teacher's aware of the situation, so we'll see.
Garlic started school last Tuesday. That is, for about one hour each day he and I spend some time together talking about different subjects. This week we learned about our bodies including our 5 senses. On Thursdays he gets to go to reading time with some other kids. He really likes being like his older brother and sisters.

We ended our first day of school playing with potato-heads and eating pretzels and fruit snacks. It was pretty fun. I hope we can continue having "school" this week.
Apricot decided she would reorganize the cupboard while Garlic was at school. You have to teach them while they're young. Maybe when she's older she will be able to help me get organized.
Looks like she found some apple sauce out of place.
Peach was so excited to start school. It's been forever ago that she began asking, "when does my school start? Do I get to go to my school today?" I know that she is going to do awesome!
I'm still learning how to do this, hence the sideways picture, but she sure looks sweet.
Apple said she would take Peach to her class and help her find her locker and seat. It's nice having a big sister.
Onion said he would walk with her too just in case Apple decides she doesn't want to. (Sometimes that happens when you have a big sister.)
